Smashing Pumpkins - 20th Anniversary Tour!

Smashing Pumpkins are set to embark on a 20th Anniversary Tour, which will kick off a few days after they perform at the Neil Young Bridge School Benefit in California.

The band will be playing a unique one-off set in every city and in the cities where they play two shows, fans who choose to go both nights will get different material – with one set called ‘Black Sunshine’ and the other ‘White Crosses’.

If I wasn't already going to be out of town, I'd so go there! This is a great line-up. In my opinion, WAY BETTER THAN STREET SCENE!

Smashing Pumpkins tickets on sale 08/04/07

They go onsale tomorrow at 10am through ticketmaster.

They are playing at The Open Air Theater located on the campus on San Diego State.

Smashing Pumpkins Opening Bands Announced

Word is that The Bravery will be touring with the Smashing Pumpkins from September 24th to October 9th and then the band Explosions in the Sky starting on October 11th until the end of the tour.

Kinda strange, don't you think? They're scheduled to play in San Diego on September 19th. Street Scene sounds a little more believeable.

In my opinion, that would suck - big time! I'm hearing that the Smashing Pumpkins are playing 3 hour sets and breaking out some of the oldies. I would rather see SP alone then at Street Scene. I'd be pretty bummed out.

Smashing Pumpkins Tickets...

So who else tried to buy tickets and noticed that they were not selling any? The whole AEG/Live Nation/Viejas Entertainment issue must have something to do with this.

They were advertising the tickets going on sale today at 10am for at least a week.

bummer.

It's at the Embarcadero on September 19th.

I'm going. I'm a huge fan and I'm getting used to their new cd -Zeitgeist. Some songs are better than others, but it has a lot of potential.

Cold War Kids at Street Scene 2007

You heard it first at SD: Dialed In.

I'm excited. I've never seen them. I think it'll be fun. The White Stripes though are another story. I've seen them live and I thought they were boring. But since the Cold War Kids are touring with The White Stripes, there's a good chance that they will be coming to San Diego.

I just really, really hope they get the Smashing Pumpkins on the bill.

Iha not on board...

Straight from the horses mouth.


"It has never been totally clear which members of the original Pumpkins lineup would be involved in this much-gossiped about reunion tour and new album and now Iha assures us that he will absolutely not be part of it.
“No, I’m not part of the current Smashing Pumpkins album or tour, I haven’t spoken to Billy in years. I’m writing for a solo record, which I’m going to record this year, and working on my indie label Scratchie Records,” says Iha, referring to the label he co-founded in 2002 with Fountains of Wayne’s Adam Schelsininger. Scratchie has put out albums by Albert Hammond Jr. and The Sounds, among others."

Makes me a bit sad. I would love to see the Smashing Pumpkins again with Iha on board. I mean, it wouldn't be the same without him.
